11.5. Fonts   

PostScript fonts are executable programs which are created by using the path construction and painting mechanism. Fonts could be created from existing graphic shapes. There are three type of fonts, corresponding to the three types of graphic images that PostScript can represent, can be created. They are :

• Outline fonts
• Stroked fonts
• Bitmapped fonts
