Computer Graphics 252-502 Tutorial Number 1

Customising the X Environment

X lets us customise our work environment in a number of ways - which X programs run, windows where we want them, menus as we want them , keyboard configured as required.

The files in this directory will help us to customise our X environment. Those accessing these files NOT at the Curtin University can do so at their own risk :?). That is, the directions given in tutorial number 1 are useful in our environment, your mileage may vary. Understand the concepts involved, look at these files and happy learning.

You may grab the files individually or look for tute1.tar.Z to get the entire subdirectory (the tar files are stored as tute1/xxx ).
